Bethlehem Village District issued an emergency public notice this morning asking residents to refrain from using town water.

The water operator is asking that all residents use as little water as possible in the Bethlehem Village District until further notice due to pipeline failure caused by Tropical Storm Irene. This includes washing vehicles, watering lawns and any other unnecessary use of public water systems.

Anyone with questions should call the Bethlehem Village District at 603-869-3440.

SPRING CREEK — A city officer arrested a Spring Creek man Wednesday morning at the Elko Area Regional Airport, where he works for the Transportation Security Administration, on a warrant charging six counts of lewdness with a child.

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire's largest utility reached a settlement Tuesday to buy energy from a group of small wood-power plants that had objected to its decision to buy power for a larger plant to be built in Berlin.
