DES removed an underground storage tank and waste oil drum at the Maplehurst Hotel in Bethlehem ( tax deeded parcel ). The tank was last used in the early 1980s. DES has also agreed to work with the town to address asbestos associated with the former hotel’s boiler. The work should help the town with demolition of the hotel, should demolition become necessary. The work will help the town with its efforts to sell the property for redevelopment.
