Federal, state and local debt hits post-WWII levels
The daunting tower of national, state and local debt in the United States will reach a level this year unmatched just after World War II and already exceeds the size of the entire economy, according to government estimates.

Today's Media Lie: No More Naked Pictures at Airport Security and Other Changes
The Media claims: No More Naked Pictures at Airport Security and Other Changes

Does that mean the scanners are going away? No it doesn't. It just means it'll be harder for a government goon to gawk at your genitals. However, the technology to do so will still be in place.
Make no mistake, so long as those scanners are in place, a naked picture of your body is being taken. Not to mention the risk of medical exposure, plus the "enhanced patdown" if you fail the scanner.
Have a nice trip!

TSA and Big Labor: A Bad Union
There are many ways to improve air travel. Unionizing the TSA isn’t one of them.
Until recently, the Transportation Security Administration was operating under a very sensible policy: no collective bargaining. Why introduce the possibility of strikes and protracted negotiations to an agency in charge of ensuring the safety of millions of air passengers?
Now, however, TSA head John Pistole has announced that the government will engage in limited collective bargaining with the TSA if its employees vote to unionize.

'I was going to do her!' The grubby comments by TSA agents that infuriated one female passenger
It seems some airport security staff are more interested in looking at what lies underneath women’s clothes rather than respecting passengers.
Amy Sullivan, senior editor of Time magazine, was at a security checkpoint in Miami Airport on Tuesday when she opted out of passing through a backscatter scanning device - described by experts as a 'virtual strip search'.
When she went through a metal detector instead and was searched by a woman, a male Transportation Security Administration (TSA) official is alleged to have said: ‘Hey, I thought she was mine - I was going to do her!’

TARP has been very successful at restoring the health of larger-scale financial. Household Sector, not so much
Report: Fannie, Freddie reform could take six years
by KERRI PANCHUK
Gosh. I wonder if that result a coincidence? Or, a matter of design.

"The upshot of these highlights is that TARP has been very successful at restoring the health of larger-scale financial and other institutions but has not had the same success in addressing household sector issues," the researchers concluded.
Gosh. I wonder if that result a coincidence? Or, a matter of design.
