Plundering Productivity

About U.S. Debt:

About Politicans Spin on the U.S. Debt:
  • Obama Plans to Cut Deficit in Half
    • That's the same thing Bush said! Do politicians think we don't know the difference between deficit and debt. So the deficit will be cut in half by 2012. Congratulations! The debt will have doubled!

About the Recession, Revenue and Taxes:

Speaking of the Impact of the Internet:
  • Internet Start-ups Will Bankrupt The US Government
    • First, we disagree that the US Government will go bankrupt in the sense that a business goes bankrupt. So long as the Federal Gov't can monetize its debt, then it will never go "bankrupt". It can always pay its debts with printed money. That is, so long as the Federal Reserve can inflate, without consequence from the People, then the charade continues.
    • However, we agree that the days of the Federal Government, in its current form, are numbered. The Federal Government won't go bankrupt because it runs out of "money". It will go bankrupt because it loses legitimacy in the eyes of the People and the States. The current manifestation of the Federal Government is based on industrial age concepts of centralized management. Concepts being pushed to new levels by the current Congress and Administration. If fact, its easy to argue that the Federal Government is the last dinosaur standing with a power structure cast in the die of industrial-age thinking.

    • The author is comparing apples and oranges. There's a major difference between forced collaboration and voluntary collaboration.

HR 2454 is now 930 pages long. It is one of the most stiffling taxs since the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act. Has the author of the bill even read his own bill?

About Those Chysler Bond "Speculators"

President Obama on C-SPAN

Forward to about 11 minutes, and listen through about 16 (especially 13:34). Ask yourself, does the government need to nationalize healthcare because:
  1. The uninsured need to be insured?
  2. The government needs to be rescued from its own folly?
